Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Born in Stavanger on June 15th, 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. The name of her can be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as the press. She has recorded several high-profile cover songs, including Half the World Away (by Oasis) for the Christmas advert. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a career or hobby but to grow. So she started her own compositions. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as being her influences. Her mother had said that her songs would not just help her get noticed, but also make others see their significance in the world and realize what can be done with her songs, she decided to begin singing in public. She started playing piano when she was six years old and began writing music at the age of nine. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known by her family until she turned fourteen. Aurora wasn't a dream. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. According to her, she believes that music can help anyone feel better.
